As expected, Sony unveiled its new flagship smartphone – Xperia Z1 aka Honami – at IFA in Berlin just yesterday. The new Xperia waterproof smartphone will boast a large camera sensor to compete with such camera phones as the Lumia 1020, for instance. The phone uses the same digital technology found in compact digital cameras which has been engineered in a super slim smartphone for the first time ever.

Sony Honami Release Date, Pricing and Availability
As it was announced at IFA in Berlin, the new Xperia waterproof smartphone would hit stores later this month, approximately September 16th. Though it’s been rumored the device is already available for pre-order in Australia.
The smartphone will launch in various markets this September, though the exact release dates have not been specified yet. It’s also unclear whether the handset will be available on contract in the US and which carriers will be retailing it.
The price tag hasn’t been revealed as well. However, considering that Sony Honami is a flagship device we might expect it to arrive with a premium price.
