It’s been reported that such Samsung flagship smartphones as the Galaxy Note 3 and Note 2, Galaxy S4 and S3 are the first to get the latest Android version, though now we have a bit different information… It turns out that in addition to the abovementioned gadgets, a number of entry-level Samsung smartphones are to receive Android KitKat OTA update as well.

According to the leak document revealing the list of smartphones that are in the first batch of getting OS update, Google is investigating the possibility of the KRT16 update for Samsung mid-range and entry-level devices. We already know that Android KitKat lowers the minimum RAM requirement to 512MB only, however that excludes Samsung’s TouchWiz UI, which comes pre-loaded on all Samsung Android smart devices.
