Nokia is getting ready for new releases. We’ve heard plenty of rumors about the specs and possible release date of the Lumia 1520 and its smaller sibling the Lumia 929. The latter would be the best choice for those of you who are fond of smaller phones. As a reminder, the Lumia 1520 is the first Windows 8 phablet running the latest GDR3 update.
Just recently, Verizon has unveiled that we’ll be able to put hands on the Nokia Lumia 929 and Lumia 1520 on November 21st. As per the Lumia 2520, the device is to be released on November 22nd on AT&T, so the Verizon launch is possible as well.
The tip also mentions that since these are getting released so close to Black Friday, there may be deals like Lumia 929 for just $199 and Lumia 2520 for $399 and may be similar deal of Lumia 2520 for only $199 when purchased with Lumia 929.
Lumia 929 vs Lumia 1520 Specs
In terms of specs, the Lumia 1520 and 929 are similar. The only difference is the screen size as well as dimensions of the two. For instance, the Nokia Lumia 1520 would fit those of you who like big phones. The device will be large enough, coming with a 6-inch screen. The Lumia 929, in its turn, will come with a 5” display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. It’s also worth mentioning that the smaller device will come with 441ppi pixel density, which is the best among any other Windows Phone handset as of now. The rest of the features are similar to the Lumia 1520, meaning that both of them will boast:
- Screen: capacitive, multi-touch
- Resolution: 1080 x 1920 pixels
- Camera: REAR 20.7MO with dual LED flash + FRONT 1.2MP
As per the processor and the battery characteristics of the upcoming Lumia 929, the developer hasn’t revealed any official information yet. However taking into consideration that the specs of the Lumia 929 and 1520 will not differ a lot, we may assume that the smaller handset will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, Adreno 330 graphics processor, 3400 mAh battery with wireless charging support. As per the internal storage of the handset, the Lumia 929 will most likely come with 32GB of built-in storage, supporting an up to 64GB microSD card.

So, when should we expect the new phone to hit our local stores? According to the Verizon insider, both the smaller Lumia 1520 sibling as well as the Lumia 2520 tablet are to be available via Verizon starting from November 21st, one day ahead of the Lumia 1520 Windows 8 phablet November 22nd Lumia 2520 AT&T launch.
