Official HTC One Max Leak Images Posted by China’s Tenaa: HTC Fingerprint Scanner Confirmed

After the HTC One Max was first revealed in the beginning of August, we’ve already seen a number of leak images of the upcoming HTC phablet. But the closer the HTC One Max release date approaches, the more often the handset appears in high-res pictures. Today we are glad to present you one more series of HTC One Max leak images posted by the French site nowhereelse.fr.

This time we are dealing with HTC One Max images shared by the official source China’s Tenaa (Telecommunication Equipment Certification Centre), the Chinese equivalent of the FCC. Unfortunately, look after the leak appeared, the images were removed from the Chinese site…

By the way, this is the first time a dual-SIM variant leaks on the Web. According to Tenaa, the HTC One Max is “the equipment for the dual card dual standby mobile phone dual-pass.”

The official source does not reveal any additional specs the upcoming HTC device will boast. As it was earlier rumored, the handset would boasts the HTC fingerprint scanner. The latter has been confirmed in the latest HTC On Max leak.

HTC One Max Specs

Here are HTC One Max specs we’ve managed to find out:

  • Display: 5.9” Super LCD full-HD 1920 1080 pixels
  • Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro, quad-core 1.7 GHz
  • Memory: 2 GB of RAM
  • Cameras: UltraPixel rear + 2.1 MP front
  • Battery: 3300 mAh
  • OS: Android 4.4 KitKat

Getting back to the HTC fingerprint scanner, we should assume that the innovation should be located beneath the rear camera. The HTC fingerprint scanner would be used for authentication process to unlock the phone or for mobile payment authorisations. For reference, the recently launched iPhone 5S boasts a similar feature.

HTC One Max Release

Rumor has it the HTC One Max official unveiling is scheduled for October 15th, so we may expect the phone to hit the shelves of our local stores soon after the official event.
