As a reminder, the smaller version comes with a 1920 x 1200 pixels display and a quad-core processor. The 7” Kindle Fire HDX price tag makes up £199. Want to grab this guy already? The tablet is already available for pre-order with November 13th delivery. As per the 8.9-inch model, it is also available for pre-order, with the availability date set for December 13th.

Both tablets are lighter and thinner than their predecessors. The 7” and 8.9” models are much faster than the previous-generation Kindle tablets and boast more colorful displays that can easily complete with Google’s Nexus 7.

But for different screen size, the new Kindle Fire tablets vary in dimensions as well. For instance, the 7-inch Kindle Fire HDX is now 8mm thick and weighs 303g (down from 10mm and 394g), while the 8.9-inch model is 8mm thick and weighs 374g.

Among similar specs both tablets boast we can name Qualcomm’s quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, due to which the devices work up to three times faster than before.

What is more, when buying the all-new Kindle Fire tablets you’ll get a feature called “Mayday,” which will help you master all apps of the tablets with ease. Such a feature would be in high demand among those of you who haven’t used Kindle tablets before.

“Mayday” will let you speak to a live customer service representative in a video window while downloading apps and using some features. A customer service rep will guide you with on-screen hand scribbles or they can even take control of the device remotely.

Kindle Fire UK Release Price

Along with adding a number of new features and services, Amazon has also cut the entry-level price tag of its tablets. In such a way, the all-new Kindle Fire HD with 8GB of internal storage makes up £119 in the UK.

There are also 4G versions of both tablets available, but they come at a higher price. The 7-inch 4G model costs £269, while for the 8.9-inch 4G option you’ll pay £399. The availability date of these Kindle models is set for November 27 and December 13, respectively. In the UK, Vodafone will provide 4G service for the tablets.

With Amazon’s new Kindle Fire tablets you’ll have access to the online bookshop’s digital books and stream movies via Amazon’s Lovefilm service (no download available).
