HTC Upgrades the One X to Android 4.0.4

Users of HTC One X Smartphone started receiving updates for their mobile systems to Android’s new OS the Android version 4.0.4 also called the Ice Cream Sandwich on the 10th of this month. The Taiwan based company announced that other devices will also get the update and newer software is still in the works. A representative from HTC Ben Woods announced that the ICS update will be available starting on the 10th of this month in the U.K and also in other regions on different dates. Mr. Woods also added that the international version of the OS will be released on the 10th and that AT&T started receiving the update on the 10th as well in the morning.

According to what Woods said the primary update will have Android version 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich, it will have the ability to map menu functions and add them to the ‘recent app’ key, improved visualisation in on-ICS apps, improved tab management with a special tab switching button. There are also some additional enhancements including continuous audio auto focus mode that will work with the camera, which will be improved with white balance, and it will also have some ad-ons for Beats Audio Software for the phone.

According to Woods HTC spokespersons confirmed that there are still plans to upgrade HTC’s One X mobile Phone and its iterations like the HTC One XL, and the HTC One S to the Jelly Bean 4.1 OS. The HTC One X is not the only device the firm plans to upgrade to ICS, according to what Stephanie Mlo said that company will also upgrade some of its other devices as well in an attempt to address issues raised by Facebook users.
