For the second time, another leakage has happened before the Research in Motion unveils their new smartphone in the market. According to the leak that Best Buy Canada allegedly released, the Blackberry Z10 will sell at around $799 without a SIM. However, RIM nor Best Buy Canada decided not to comment about the issue. There may not be much of a difference in pricing but there are hints that users may get a $44 off on this device as Slash Gear made another rumor that it will only be $755.
No official launch date yet has been announced by RIM for Z10, but there were rumors that this handset may be out in the market by February 28th or March 27th. Another version of the story said it can be earlier than February 5th.
Blackberry is the pioneer of the mobile email smartphone back in 1999 but now they are just counting on Blackberry Z10 to revive their name in the market. They need to outrun Samsung and Apple which hold the bigger chunks of the market share.
The upcoming Blackberry Z10 is rumored to have a 4G LTE connectivity and a 4.2-inch display with a 4G LTE connectivity and a 4.2-inch display with a 768 x 1280 resolution. Its memory can expand up until 32GB using a microSD with a built-in 2GB RAM and 16GB storage running on a dual-core processor. It also has an 8 megapixel camera.
If the stories are true, this may be indeed a revolutionary change for RIM as it, finally, embraced a full touch screen technology and above average hardware. Additionally, if the price release is correct, potential buyers will soon race to get hand of the Blackberry Z10 for only $200 for a two-year contract. The price is not that far from Nexus 4 which got sold out during the first few hours of the release.
Let’s wait and see what Research in Motion have for us as it launches its Blackberry Z10 this week. Only then will we find out if the leakage is accurate.
